I don't know what the paternity laws in Canada are like, but I wouldn't imagine that they're much different than in the U.S. where, if the biological parents are not married/living together, the non-custodial parent is obligated to pay child support to the custodial parent.<br /><br />All of which brings up two unanswered questions: will Erica press for Todd to pay child support, and would Todd be able to get Deb to reimburse him for those costs over the long term, since technically its HER child? (Or, if Erica should decide to put the child up for adoption, persuade/arrange for Deb to adopt the child). What a tangled mess.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
